Well, I have to be honest, I've never used or even heard the term Rap Metal. I always referred to those bands as Nu-Metal. The name Rap Metal doesn't sound well imo.

New Slipknot is Metalcore or simply just "Metal". They even added solos lol. It's truth.

tough choice between melodeath and neoclassical, forgot what i chose tho lol slipknot is "categorized" as numetal btw but il use the term loosely, imo nu-metal should just be called nu-rock or whatever it has more in common with rock than metal anyhow even though thats still a fine line

I think it's still referred to as "metal" because there are a lot of fans of nu-metal that think their music is rebellious. And sadly, there are a lot of "fans" of metal that only listen to it because of they think it makes them "different" and "cool".
My school is full of Slipknot, ICP, and other band shirts.

New Slipknot is Metalcore. Can't you hear it? They sound like bands like LoG and almost Machine Head-like now.

Does LoG is Lamb Of God?? Lamb Of God is Groove Metal and Machine Head is Thrash/Groove so maybe New Slipknot is Groove Metal??

Old Machine Head is Groove Metal. New Machine Head is pretty much Metalcore minus the vox. Lamb of God, ok is Groove + Metalcore. New Slipknot is definitely Metalcore.
Either way, it doesn't matter. Their both fairly shitty genres. I can find a couple bands I like in each.
