And for the magnificent release of a new album, and a successful tour of the world, the 'force have had possibly the best year they have ever had, so they just had to be at the No.1 spot.
1. Dragonforce
Now, for the last contest. The best PowerMetalLivesOn forum account. We got quite a few votes for this, but this was the least voted for contest. The top 4 accounts are:
I am aware some people voted for who they favourited, and not the best, but that does not bother me. These are OUR best acts from 2008, and we will see what 2009 brings us in the Power Metal world. A suspected Last Journey Home video from Dragonforce, and a new Stratovarius album? And loads more cool releases.
Thankyou, Merry Christmas, and have a great year.

It's not 'the rick roll' it's Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up lol.
I don't see why somebody made the rick roll. It's just a music video from a guy, and it was actually No.1 in the charts at one point. I could stick a Dragonforce video on YouTube on say 'You got 'force rolld!'. I can understand the humour and the prank in it, but why Rick Astley's video of Never Gonna Give You Up?

This was taken straight off Wikipedia:
The practice is said to have begun as a variant of an earlier prank from the imageboard 4chan known as duckrolling, in which a link to somewhere (such as a specific picture or news item) would instead lead to a thread or site containing an edited picture of a duck with wheels. The user at that point is said to have been "duckrolled". The first instance of Rickroll occurred in May 2007 on the site's video game board, where a link to the Rick Astley video was claimed to be a mirror of the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto IV (which was unavailable due to heavy traffic). The joke was confined to 4chan for a very brief period.
By May 2008, the practice had spread beyond 4chan and become an Internet phenomenon, eventually amassing some coverage in the mainstream media. An April 2008 poll by SurveyUSA estimated that at least 18 million American adults have been Rickrolled.[
