ok im sorry but in my opinion i think there is no better vocalist in metal music than Tarja Turuunen. of course there are many great singers but she is one of a kind

My favorite vocalist is Jarkko Ahola of Dreamtale, Terasbetoni, and Northern Kings. Perfect voice in my opinion; he can go from flawless classical to powerful metal screams in an instant.

^ He's good (MJK), quite good, but I wouldn't say his vocals are anything uber-iconic worthy to be called ultra divine. Although i'd rank him up there.

I'd put Kürsch up there, but one of the main reasons I like his voice is his overlayer technique. Which is technically not his vocals just as that, but rather his vocals put on top of his vocals. :\

I have to admit that I grouped lyrics with vocals there. With that combo, I can't really think of a bad song he's done.
Also, I just *ahem* read the first page, about the whole "unique" thing. I'm not quite sure I'd say he's number one, but I really like how Byron Roberts (Bal-Sagoth) can go through several different voices so quickly. (Mostly the growls/narrator.)
