| So, we all know that sooner or later, there's going to be a zombie outbreak. Obviously, survival comes first and foremost, but you're gonna have to blast some tunes while you fight off the undead horde, right?
So, what are some good zombie apocalypse songs? This doesn't have to be metal, and I will put together a Project Playlist playlist soon. Just don't want to right now.
So, to start you off....
The Man Comes Around - Johnny Cash (As heard in Dawn of the Dead remake)
The Number of the Beast - Iron Maiden
Down With the Sickness - Disturbed (Because we have to have the real one to have...)
Down With the Sickness - Richard Cheese (Also seen in DOTD remake)
Dead Girl - Acid Bath
Living Dead Girl - Rob Zombie (Oh sweet irony. How I love thee.)
Only the Good Die Young - Iron Maiden ("If I cancel tomorrow the undead will thank me today")
Children of the Damned - Iron Maiden
Highway to Hell - AC/DC (Initial outbreak. Driving to meet up with the rest of your party.....Or, you could always go with....)
Ride of the Valkyries - Richard Wagner
Let Me Put My Love Into You - AC/DC (I love the irony in this one.... "Don't you struggle Don't you fight Don't you worry 'Cause it's your turn tonight CHORUS: Let me put my love into you, babe Let me put my love on the line Let me put my love into you, babe Let me cut your cake with my knife"......Except replace 'cake' with 'neck' because it's more bad ass, and as we all know, the cake is a lie.)
Shoot to Thrill - AC/DC
Hells Bells - AC/DC
The Beginning is the End is the Beginning - Smashing Pumpkins
and the absolute apex in bad ass fight songs..... Battle Without Honor or Humanity - Tomoyasu Hotei (As seen in Kill Bill)

| Heavy/Power for zombies? PSH! No way LOL.
I think something Gothic/Doomy/Industrial would work well, Zombie apocalypse = Darkness.
Power would spoil the Zombie Apocalypse mood >.>

My point exactly. I just can't do it, LOL. Epic wars = Power Metal Zombie Apocalypse = Death, Doom, Black, Industrial or anything dark

| I think Kataklysm is perfect for a Zombie Apocalypse.
I think their song Taking the World by Storm is a good song about a Zombie Apocalypse... I'm not sure though... I didn't check the lyrics.

| For some reason, I think Judas Priest's Painkiller (the song, album and Death's cover of it) really fit in a zombie holocaust. | |

Why do you think you don't hear Power Metal bands singing about zombies? Because it doesn't go. Why do the makers of Resident Evil, Dead Rising and other such games & movies pick darker songs for a fight against hordes of zombies? Because it works. Power Metal won't fit the mood, lol.

Not if your name is either Chuck Norris or Chicago Ted. Imo, Ballistic gets my temper rising to kick people so might aswell kick people who 1) won't die of my kicking and 2) won't feel bothered with me kicking them.

| I'd put some Katatonia, My Dying Bride and Candlemass on, then I am ready for a Zombie Outbreak. Also, I think the obvious one is Rob/White Zombie, his music is perfect for a Zombie apocalypse. I'd also put in some Darkthrone, Amon Amarth, Pain, Deathstars, KMFDM, The 69 Eyes and a bunch of other bands at random that would help | |
