interpritation.

this song is about metalcore claiming to be metal, and metal near losing the war. the man in this song is nobody in particular. as he is imprisoned with no weapon (no guitar, free speech stripped away) he realizes he needs no weapon (instrument) because it's not the instrument that makes him metal, HE is metal.
