| I actually prefer old metallica, but new is good too. I got the new album Death Magnetic the other day, and am already playing along to the day that never comes on drums! awesome song. | |

| I prefer old also. Most of their new album is just "meh" for me. The most recent metallica song I really like is King Nothing from Load (and I hate the rest of that album, too ) Kill Em' All through Metalllica was their time, I'd say. | |

yeah definitely. without a shadow of a doubt, metallica have been one of the biggest metal bands on earth, but really, especially the older generation, would like the old metallica more than new.

I KNOW you did just speak poorly of Hero of the Day! That right there is tied with The Unforgiven as my favorite 'Tallica song. There's some others on there that I like...Namely, Mamma Said & Until it Sleeps. But to say Hero of the Day is a bad song isn't a differance of opinion....It's sheer BLASPHEMY! Not to mention when people say that everything past The Black Album sucks, they're including S&M in there. But that's another rant. For me, "old Metallica" is pre-St. Anger, and "new Metallica" is post-St. Anger. (St. Anger, we just try to forget about. Shock therapy helps.)

For me, "old Metallica" is pre-St. Anger, and "new Metallica" is post-St. Anger. (St. Anger, we just try to forget about. Shock therapy helps.) Maybe "hate" is an exaggeration in this case. Load is essentially when Metallica started making their music more mainstream. This is almost always bad for me because mainstream music is almost always bad (if one takes a hint from what they play on the radio). So maybe i hate what they were trying to do in that album. But whatever. No band can stay perfect forever.

You can remember the first metal band you heard? I don't have a clue. I think it was Motley Crue because i went to a friend's party and we played gh and they gave me Shout At The Devil by the Motley Crue on easy. I failed lol. I was rubbish then, now im playing Sweet Child O' Mine on expert.

| The first few metal bands I heard were Maiden, Metallica and Slipknot. And some rock bands like Tankcsapda(HUN) or Junkies(HUN). | |

| when i heard unforgiven 3 i definitely thought that i will never hear the rest of the album. dont want to create a worse image than the one i have now. i used to like them but this change of style ruined them in my opinion although many people still like them. anyway correct me if im wrong. | |
