Anyways, this is where Phil shows he can sing different styles.
That was like Helloween a lot more Heavier....
Yeah, but not many Pantera fans know about this side. They tried to forget their first few albums for some reason. Hell, I even like these albums more than their Cowboys from Hell era.

@buzzphil - the "Power metal" tracks isn't bad, but i would'nt put pantera even in the same league as Helloween as far as power metal goes.

Dimebag was a real legend. I kinda blame Phil for his death, besides he wasnt the best guy although he has a great voice. Anyway i like their "earlier" work much more. Songs such as Cemetery Gates and Cowboys from Hell are surely masterpieces to me. Of course again thats a matter of taste and music preferences

How come you blame Phil for Dimebag dying? Wasn't it just a problem within the band which caused them (dimebag and bro) to leave and start Damageplan, which resulted in an angry fan going on a killing spree at a concert? I don't know the history of Pantera that good though, might have missed a bit.

Phil Anselmo is well known for being a jackass. He was the main cause that made Dime leave the band. Even Dime's mother (or a relative of his i cant remember who it was) blames Phil. If i remember right Phil felt bad too about what he did for a period of time. Ive read all these stuff somewhere, probably metal hammer, but they seem logical. Phil is a great artist but i dont really him as a person.

Oh, didn't know that. But Dimebag could have left the band anyway, even if Phil didn't act like a total jerk, we may never know. I blame that dumbass who shot him and the others. Scum like him shouldn't even walk this planet.

Whether Pantera broke up or not, that wouldn't change the course. The killer was a schizophrenic that believed Pantera stole songs that he "wrote", he would've shot a Pantera member either way.
