Wait, this album won't have a 15-year gap?
The technical death metal band Cynic is currently working on their third album. This EP will include four "reinterpreted" songs from Traced in Air, and one new song. Cynic says this will show a brand new side of them.
So, what do you guys think? I thought Traced in Air already showed a brand new side of Cynic, so I guess this will show yet another side. Personally, I'd rather them make a whole new album rather than mostly remasters, but I'm definitely looking forward to this anyway.
TRACKS Space (a reinterpretation of their song "The Space for This"). Evolutionary (a reinterpretation of their song "Evolutionary Sleeper"). Integral (a reinterpretation of their song "Integral Birth"). King (a reinterpretation of their song "King of Those Who Know"). Wheels Within Wheels (a song they had before the recording of Traced in Air, but didn't put it on the album because it was unfitting).

Haha. Well, both of their albums are entirely different, but with their first album, my favorite songs are "Celestial Voyage" and "I'm But A Wave To...". With their second album, probably "The Space For This" and "King of Those Who Know". If you like Atheist, Cynic is very similar to them except for their vocoder use, which may take a while for you to get used to. Also, I can't post the links right now because my connection, lol. If you can, just search the songs on Youtube.

It's been a loooong time since anything as been posted here. Makes me a bit nostalgic. Anyway, a track from this album has finally been released. It's not at all what I expected. I like it, but it's really, really soft. May not be the style of the members here.
