So it doesn't look like this folk metal band (I post it on power metal because I think Power/Folk/Viking go together a lot of the time) has been posted anywhere. I found them through Alestorm.
Their Myspace is here: http://www.myspace.com/adavant

Haha. They were really good, in my opinion. Which one is your favorite? Mine's probably A Bard's Tale.

Yeah, The 22nd is awesome. I love the part when everything calms down the cups or whatever rattling before the solos. Oh, they also already have a new song called "A Penny For the Folk, A Jug For the Jig". *goes to listen*

Definitely. It's probably my favorite by them. The keyboards were more entertaining. I was wondering, is "Voyage of The Vagrant Heart" on Warbound or "Demo 2009"? Their last.fm account has it on Demo 2009.

I think I like it most because it combines vocal styles so well. I listened to the whole album in math class once. Made me feel good. ;p Yeah, someone should open a thread for unsigned bands that give free albums. Anyone?

Epic hails to you my friends,
First and foremost, I second the notion of starting a thread for unsigned bands that let people shamelessly download their music! Everyone wins: people discover the bands, and cultivated metalheads such as yourselves get your fix in an economically duty-free way. EPIC! Indeed, Voyage of the Vagrant Heart is from the new demo. Just recorded that one in March before it was featured in Metal Hammer's latest Battle Metal compilation CD. Glad you guys are diggin the tunes and appreciate your feedback; more to come from the studio shortly, and we'll be sure to upload them for your downloading pleasure. Finally, an amusing anecdote: when we wrapped vocal recordings on the Warbound EP, we decided that we wanted a big drunken chant session in the middle of The 22nd. We strategically stocked up the recording studio with beer and invited a bunch of friends over for a 'wrap party.' After waiting a bit for the booze to set in, we crammed them all into a small live room that we had surrounded with wall mics prior to their arrival. Than we yelled "be drunk and chant," and hit record. Thus, my friends, the middle of The 22nd is an authentic recording of a bunch of drunkasses partying and staggering about. Epic, eh? Thanks for your support guys, and stay tuned for a lot more from us!
Cheers, Andy the Cunning

Thanks for joining Andy. I haven't yet checked out the Adavant music posted in this topic yet but I will now as it's always nice to have a band member take the time to create an account.
